Remain calm

Playing sports offers a clear reminder that change is happening constantly. Every play, every possession – every moment really – in a game asks a player to respond amidst the chaos. Those who excel develop the ability to roll with it, to adapt, and to learn from past experiences and patterns. Excellent players don’t dwell on mistakes because the game never stops. Leading others through change has a lot to do with first being able to lead yourself through the constantly changing landscape of life. What opportunities lie in the chaos? How will you and your team emerge more wise and resilient for having been through a storm? Can you practice staying calm amidst the fray?
